ACF Today, Vol. II, No. 23
* Countdown for Culinary Team USA in Germany is NOW!
The time is finally here. Years of grueling practice have come to a head as chefs representing the United States and the American Culinary Federation travel to Erfurt, Germany, for the 21st Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung (IKA), also known as the Olympiad der Küche, most commonly referred to as the "Culinary Olympics." The IKA will take place as part of the inuga trade fair.
Sunday, Oct. 17
More than 50 Americans will represent the United States in Germany as competitors or as aids to the competitors, including apprentices, coaches and advisers. ACF encourages its members to support U.S. competitors with letters of support via e-mail. To cheer on U.S. teams in their role as ambassadors of American chefs to the world, click here. For daily updates on the success of the five teams making up ACF Culinary Team USA in Germany, visit www.acfchefs.org beginning October 17.
