Happy new year from the
"Strike It Rich in Sacramento" is the theme of the 2005 ACF Western
Regional Conference, Feb. 17-20 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Sacramento,
Calif., hosted by the California Capital Chefs Association. Through
Saturday, Jan. 15, full registration is only $235 for active and
associate members, $150 for student and senior members. After Jan. 15,
registration increases to $300 and $175, respectively. Simply download

Jan. 15 to receive the best discount!
The deadline for the best registration discount for the 2005 ACF Southeastern Regional Conference, with a theme of "Riding the Rails to 'The Star City,'" has been extended to Saturday, Jan. 15. The conference, hosted by the ACF Southwestern Virginia Chapter, will be held March 10-13 at The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center. Through Jan. 15, full registration is only $275 for active members, $175 for student and senior members, $350 for associate and allied members, and $375 for non-members. After Jan. 15, registration increases to $325, $200, $400 and $425, respectively, then increases again after March 1. Chapters of the ACF Chef & Child Foundation are invited to apply for the 2005 Little Oscar Award, which recognizes exemplary work of ACF members in their communities. Regional winners will be announced at the 2005 Regional Conferences in the winter and spring; one of four regional winners will be named the national Little Oscar Award winner at ACF's 2005 National Convention in San Antonio, July 30-Aug. 3. ACF members, along with other World Association of Cooks Societies
(WACS) members, have been asking what they can do to help ease the
unspeakable suffering in Southeast Asia in the wake of the devastating
tsunami last month.

Ballots shall be distributed via U.S. mail by May 1 to all voting members of ACF and must be returned postmarked by June 1. Only Academy of Chefs fellows vote for candidates for Academy leadership.
Ballots were mailed from ACF headquarters to all chapters for the 2005 Hermann G. Rusch Chef's Achievement Award. award. All chapters in good standing receive one vote.
