Student Team Competitions Rules Remain Intact for 2006 The culinary competition committee is appreciative of all the feedback received regarding the proposed changes to ACF's student team competition guidelines. Your input from the regional conferences provided valuable insight, and the committee is working diligently to ensure the changes will uphold the high quality and standards of student team competitions. Therefore, the existing rules will remain in effect through 2006. However, teams are encouraged to submit a cold food display during the 2006 regional conferences. Cold food submissions, while not required, will be judged independently and are eligible for an ACF medal. Student teams must register for the regional competitions for 2006 by August
30. Visit http://www.acfchefs.org/events/stcomp.html#apps

Delivery Date for August Center of the Plate and The National Culinary Review revised ACF's goal is to bring you the most comprehensive coverage of the ACF National Convention in San Antonio. To that end, our August editions of COP and NCR will be delayed until late August/early September so we may better inform our members of the events at convention. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we will resume our schedule with the September issue delivery, quickly on the heels of the August editions. NCR Seeks Chefs Using Combi Ovens The National Culinary Review wants to hear from chefs who use combi ovens. Please include the brand and type of foodservice operation where the oven is used.
