Winner Announced At Convention
St. Augustine, Fla., September 8,
2005—The American Culinary Federation (ACF) declared Orange
Coast College, located in Costa Mesa, Calif., the national winner of the
ACF Student Team National Championship, sponsored by R.L. Schreiber,

goes on to compete for the national title.
During the competition, teams must prepare hot and cold dishes, and
are judged on creativity, portion size, nutritional balance, flavor,
taste and texture, among other requirements. In addition, they are also
judged on teamwork, sanitation, organization and classical cooking
techniques.
The 2005 regional student-team competitors included: Orange Coast
College*–West; St. Louis
Junior Culinary Team–Central; Hocking College–Northeast; and
