St. Augustine, Fla., May 16, 2007-Pamela Lewis, culinary and segment manager for Tyson Foods, Inc., Springdale, Ark., has been elected president of the newly formed American Culinary Federation, Inc.'s (ACF) Northwest Arkansas Chef's Association (NWACA). Lewis, a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I., and Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Ky., started her career working as a banquet and line cook in New York City at Tavern on the Green and The Plaza Hotel. At Tyson Foods, Lewis creates concepts for menus; develops and tests recipes; markets programs and promotions; consults on products, equipment, flavors and applications; and caters special events.
"NWACA will help unify foodservice professionals in Northwest Arkansas, and I am thrilled to be a part as we continue to grow," said Lewis. "The chapter will not only be great for networking, but will also offer members countless professional-development opportunities to further their careers."
