U.S. Military Certification Program

Military culinary professionals serve our country’s service members. Feeding an Army

American Culinary Federation certifications are not determined by title or rank but by knowledge and skills. The culinary training and work experience gained in the military may qualify you for one or more ACF certification designations. Based on your educational background and work experience, you can find a certification designation that complements your experience. Learn about the certification process.

Assistance for Military Certification Programs

Check with your supervisor or representative about program opportunities. Not all programs offer the same benefits and they may have different procedures regarding application, approval, payment and reimbursement.

Department of the Navy Navy personnel can contact the Navy credentialing agency Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (COOL) for more information to apply. U.S. 
Army Army personnel can contact the Army credentialing agency GoArmyEd Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (Army COOL) to find their funding options.

Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans can contact the Department of Veterans Affairs about possible funding through the G.I. Bill.

Military personnel can contact the Military Tuition Assistance program regarding possible funding opportunities for educational programs.

Your branch of service not listed? Certification is open to everyone at all levels of culinary experience and education, so check with your training officer for more details.
