Secondary Certification
Criteria
The ACFEFAC certifies secondary culinary arts and
baking and pastry programs defined as those awarding certificates
and diplomas in the culinary arts and baking and pastry arts.

New Program Application
Programs seeking an initial grant of program certification or
instituting a new program and seeking a grant of program certification
require a new program application.
Initial Self-Study Review*
Programs seeking initial certification or certification for a new
program require a self-study.
Renewal Self-Study Review*
Programs seeking a renewal of certification require a self-study.
* After an institution completes a self-study of its program, a site
visit is conducted by a team of approved ACFEFAC evaluators.
CJC - Certified Junior Culinarian
Graduates of ACFEF Secondary Certified Programs are eligible to test
and apply for the CJC certification. Program coordinators: Please review
