Become an Apprenticeship Program
Step 1: Register with the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training
(BAT) or State Apprenticeship Council (SAC)
Submit apprenticeship standards to the Federal or State Bureau of
Apprenticeship and Training or State Apprenticeship Council. Contact
your local US Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship
& Training.
Step 2: Apply for ACFF Recognition
Complete Program Application Form along with
non-refundable registration fee. Applications can be obtained by calling
the ACF Apprenticeship office at (800) 624-9458.
Step 3: Submit completed Program Application Form to national office
with the following required documents
- Certificate of Registration (BAT or SAC)
- List of Apprenticeship Committee Members including job title
- Copy of initial minutes for the apprenticeship committee
meeting
- List of facilities qualified for apprentice training
- List of qualified Supervising Chefs
- Copy of Apprentice Handbook
- Curriculum for the apprentice program
